‘The Runway Flea’. We will be holding three ' Runway Fleas' at Debach Airfield in 2024 the dates are listed below, please tick the box beside the date(s) you would like to attend. Debach Airfield is just 3 miles North West of Woodbridge with good road links to the site. Debach was home to the US 493rd Bomb Group (named “The Fighting 493rd, latterly known as "Helton's Hellcats" after the groups first CO, Colonel Elbert Helton). It was the last US Eighth Air Force heavy bomber station to become operational with the group flying their first mission on D-Day 6th June 1944 .
