Debach Airfield is home to the 493rd Bomb Group Museum. It was one of the last 8th Air Force heavy bomber stations to be occupied by the American 8th  Army Air Force and at one point had two thousand personnel stationed there.  The land on which the airfield was built belonged to the Taylor family who had farmed it since the 1920.  Richard Taylor and his late wife along with a loyal group of volunteers set about restoring the Control Tower and later the buildings.  The museum is open to the public on the last Sunday of the month, April - September and is an amazing tribute to the 493rd Bomb Group and the brave men and women who served there

Below is a picture of the restored Control Tower as the Sun came up taken by one of our exhibitors.
